Dangerous Chocolate Cake-In-a-Mug

This is a relatively easy recipe. handed down to me from a family friend in NH. If you like chocolate then you'll love this one. This is ideal for penny strapped college students with those late night munchies after studying. Chocolate aficionados will like this one also. You could use milk chocolate or for the health conscious try dark chocolate with the many anti-oxidants.

Difficulty: Moderate

Ingredients:

1 coffee mug 4 tbsp. flour 4 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. cocoa 1 egg 3 tbsp. milk 3 tbsp. oil ( or applesauce) small splash of vanilla 3 tbsp. chocolate chips, or peanut chips, or whatever chips you like.

Step1

add dry ingredients to mug, mix well with a fork.

Step2

add egg, mix thoroughly.

Step3

Pour in milk and oil and vanilla, mix well. You can use a whisk, or a hand mixer but a mix-master is the best to use here.

Step4

add chocolate chips, if using. You also can basically add anything here that you feel will complement the taste.

Step5

Put mug in microwave, and cook for 3 minutes on high. Cake might rise over top( don't be alarmed) and use a big mug, then it doesn't go over...

Hints:

Allow to cool a little; tip onto a plate.

Ensure you use a microwave safe cup

Older microwaves may require a little more time, but be careful as  too much time will cause a boil over.

                        EAT

Don’t eat too many of them however all at once.
